I created this video with a partner using Adobe Premiere. The goal was to create a light-hearted and fun introduction to a recipe to entice the reader to click through and read the more complete blog post (click here to view), which I also created.
This video was actually much harder to create than it should have been. After filming the first take, we uploaded the video to the computer only to find out that somewhere along the way the SD card had been corrupted. We had to refilm everything; however, we didn’t have enough materials to make an entire new batch of cookies, and we were running out of time. In order to solve the problem, we refilmed making a much smaller batch. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to let our cookies cool all the way before decorating, which caused the frosting to run and the final product to not look as planned. If we had had more time, we would have made the end result look more appealing, but we worked with what we had and met our deadline. I have included this anecdote to show that I can work under pressure and solve problems that may arise.
I have included this video in my portfolio to show that I am able to film videos and use Adobe Premiere to edit them. It also demonstrates my ability to create creative yet relevant marketing materials, the way this video is marketing material for a blog post.
